Are my API credentials secure?
Your API keys and trading credentials are encrypted locally with your password and never stored, transmitted, or accessed by us. They remain exclusively on your device and are used only to communicate directly with your exchange. We use zero-knowledge encryption – meaning we literally cannot access or decrypt your credentials under any circumstances. No keys are ever sent to our servers, shared with third parties, or stored anywhere outside your control. You retain full ownership and visibility of all sensitive data at all times. The only communication between the app and our servers is to validate your Stalker license key.
The app only requires read and trade permissions to function correctly. API keys with withdrawal, account management, or any other sensitive permissions are not allowed and will be rejected. These permissions are unnecessary for the bot’s operation and only introduce avoidable security risks. Limiting permissions helps ensure your funds remain fully under your control at all times.

Do you custody coins or funds?
No. Stalker does not custody, hold, or have any access to your cryptocurrency. All funds remain securely in your exchange account at all times – we only use API calls to execute trades on your behalf. Your API credentials are encrypted locally on your machine with your password, which we never see or store. We cannot withdraw funds, transfer assets, or access your account even if we wanted to (or were forced to). Your coins stay on your exchange under your full control – we’re just the automation tool. Trades never route through our servers, we have no idea how much you trade or what you trade.
Do you take any trading fees?

If this happens, you can use the “Start Over Fresh” option, which will remove your locally encrypted credentials, positions, and configuration and allow you to set everything up again from scratch. You will not lose any funds or coins—everything remains securely stored on your connected exchange, where you can always access it. We do not custody funds or assets. Losing your password only removes the bot’s ability to track existing positions, not your ownership of them.
