Stalker Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 13, 2026

Here’s the stuff our lawyers would want us to say — or at least what lawyers would probably expect us to say if we had them.

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before downloading, installing, or using the Stalker trading application (“Software”, “Bot”, “Product”).

By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.

1. License and Permitted Use

The Software is a free, open-source desktop application for cryptocurrency trading.

Subject to the terms of the applicable open-source license, you may download, install, use, copy, modify, and distribute the Software, including creating and distributing forks, in accordance with that license.

The Software is designed to be self-hosted and run on devices you own or control. You are responsible for your own installation, configuration, hosting, and use of the Software.

The Software must remain open source and free when redistributed, modified, or forked. No person or organization may distribute a fork or derivative version of the Software as proprietary, closed-source, or paid software. Any redistribution or derivative distribution must comply with the applicable open-source license.

Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of trademarks, branding, or other intellectual property that is not covered by the applicable open-source license.

You may not misrepresent an independent fork as an official release of Stalker or imply endorsement by the original project without authorization.

2. No Financial or Trading Advice

The Software is provided for informational and automation purposes only.

Nothing in the Software constitutes financial, investment, tax, or trading advice.

Cryptocurrency and digital asset trading involves substantial risk and may result in partial or total loss of funds. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for all trading decisions, outcomes, gains, losses, and tax obligations.

3. Risk Disclosure and No Guarantees

The Software is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”.

We make no guarantees or representations regarding profitability, performance, accuracy of signals or strategies, uptime, reliability, error-free operation, or suitability for any particular purpose.

Any examples, demonstrations, tests, or historical results do not guarantee future performance.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Software.

4. Exchange Access, Funds, and Custody

The Software does not custody, hold, control, or have access to your funds, coins, or assets.

All trading actions are executed directly on your chosen exchange using API credentials you generate and provide from that exchange.

We do not have access to your exchange account, funds, balances, or the ability to move, withdraw, or recover assets.

All responsibility for exchange configuration, permissions, and usage rests entirely with you.

5. API Keys, Credentials, and Security

All API keys, credentials, and application passwords are stored locally on your device and encrypted, as implemented by the version of the Software you use.

We do not collect, store, log, or have access to your API keys, passwords, or credentials through the Software. This statement does not apply to third-party services or independently modified versions that may handle data differently.

Application passwords and encryption keys used by the Software are non-recoverable. If you lose access, forget credentials, or corrupt your local data, we cannot restore or recover access.

If necessary, you may reset the application and set it up again from a fresh installation using new credentials.

6. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for securing your devices, credentials, and exchange accounts, ensuring API permissions are correctly configured, and complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and exchange terms.

You agree not to use the Software for illegal activity, market manipulation, or any prohibited or abusive behavior.

You are also responsible for reviewing and verifying any fork, modification, or third-party distribution before using it, including its security, functionality, and handling of credentials.

7. Support and Updates

Support is provided at our discretion through documentation, community channels, or direct assistance.

We may release updates, bug fixes, or improvements, but updates and continued support are not guaranteed, and older versions may be deprecated.

The Software’s open-source status does not guarantee ongoing maintenance, support, or the availability of any particular service. You may independently maintain, modify, or fork the Software in accordance with the applicable open-source license.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to our support services or other services we operate if you violate the applicable terms governing those services.

Any rights to use, copy, modify, or distribute the Software that are granted under its applicable open-source license are governed by that license, including its provisions on termination and compliance. These Terms do not independently revoke rights granted under that license.

9. Intellectual Property

The Software is distributed as open-source software under its applicable license. The rights to use, copy, modify, and distribute the Software are governed by that license.

Copyright and other applicable intellectual property rights remain with their respective owners. No ownership of those rights is transferred merely by downloading or using the Software.

The Stalker name, logo, trademarks, and branding may be subject to separate restrictions and are not automatically licensed for unrestricted use by the Software’s open-source license.

10. Refund Policy

The Software is free to download and use. No purchase is required to access the Software itself.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction of the project operator, to the extent permitted by law.

Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction, subject to mandatory legal requirements.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes apply as permitted by applicable law.

Updates to these Terms do not retroactively change the terms of an existing open-source license governing a version of the Software already released under that license. Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of updated terms where legally applicable.
